I've told his story many times to folks facing dialysis. He was a great success story and had a great attitude, even through tough stuff. He's enjoying his rest and reward.

Condolence: When I first met Dan I believe he was a biomed at Bethesda hospital and I was a surgical tech. Years later I ended up working in the biomed department with Dan at Christ hospital---he was my supervisor. Dan did a lot of good things for our department, but what impressed me more about him was the courage and grace with which he faced his health challenges. I saw him over the years when he returned to Christ hospital as a visitor or patient, and I can honestly say I never saw a hint of sadness or "why me" that would be excusable in someone facing his trials. Rest in Peace, Dan.
