Donald Alvin Shields, age 78, of Glencoe, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

He worked as a truck driver for the US Mail Center in Sharonville.

Don enjoyed anything outdoors including fishing, hunting, and camping.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Ollie Shields, his brothers, Bob and Lawrence Shields, and sisters, Shirley Huff and Hazel Shields.

Don is survived by his sons, Joe Lohr (Jessica Ford) and Mike Shields (Heather Noel); daughters, Erica Shields (Chris Pennington), Shirley (Bill) Burke, Julie (Walt) Young, and Lorie Armstrong; brother, Ray Shields (Sue); sister, Joan Shields; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jalyn, Dylan, Aubrey, Cory, Lydia, Billy, Jesse, Kyle, Tyler, Ellen, Walter, Mathew, Nicole, and Kelly; mother of his children, Debbie Baxter; and good friend, Dennis Crabtree.

Services for Don will be held at the convenience of the family.
