Rose Marie Bill Vanderpool, 58, of Independence passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 at St.Elizabeth Hospital of Edgewood. She was formerly a bindery worker for Hennegan Printing Co. of Florence. Rose had a love of animals, enjoyed bingo and casinos, but her greatest passion was her family. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Edward Bill, mother Geraldine Burns, and step-father Fred Burns.

Survivors include her husband David Vanderpool of Independence; daughter Christy Lynn Scharf (Michael) Traft of Independence; sons William Russell (Christa) Scharf, Jr. of Crittenden and Benjamin Frank (Darla) Scharf of Verona; sister Donna (James) Palmer of Indiana; brother Charles Bill of Cincinnati; grandchildren William III (Trey), Anna, Michael, Drew, Brooke, Benjamin, Jr., Jayden, and Hunter; dear friends Sharon and Michael Weber and Arthur Bailey; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, September 10, 2012 from 6:00 PM until time of funeral service at 8:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
