Richard Ray Fehler, age 62, of Independence, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

Richard was born in Dayton, KY, to the late Raymond and Betty Neal Fehler. He was a retired railroad worker for L & N Railroad. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, boating, being outdoors, and watching football. Most importantly he loved spending time with his grandson Karson.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Anne, Mary, and Lynn.

He is survived by his daughters, Amber Kayse and Tasha Fehler; son-in-law, Eric Kayse; grandson, Karson Kayse; brothers, John (Josie) Fehler, Finis (Debbie) Fehler, and Alan (Montana) Gauntt; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Gathering of Friends will be held from 5:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.
