Obituary for George Thomas Erion
George Thomas Erion, age 80, of Florence, KY, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY.
He was a retired Assembler for CR Manufacturing and a member of Florence United Methodist Church. George loved to golf and also enjoyed building and fixing things. His parents, John Henry and Nellie Esther Erion; and sister, Rebecca Gray, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife (of 59 years), Rita McKnight Erion; son, Mark Erion (Shirley); daughter, Melanie Roberts (Calvin); grandchildren, Caitlin Baillie and Cassidy Roberts; great-grandchild, Larkyn Baillie; and cousin, Ruby Robertson.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with services immediately following at 12 noon at Florence United Methodist Church, 8585 Old Toll Rd., Florence, KY 41042. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Kentucky United Methodist Homes for Children and Youth, 2050 Lexington Rd., Versailles, KY 40383 or St. Jude Children’s Home, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
