Virginia Elizabeth Smith Wills, 92 of Independence, KY, passed away May 26, 2017 at her residence. Virginia was a long-time member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, where she started and taught kindergarten class. She loved children and nature. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and helping others. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Daisy Smith, as well as seven siblings. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Earl Wills, daughters, Barbara Grever (Jim), Pamela Teegarden, Deborah Mullins (Garry), son Bud Wills (Debbie), brother, Lawrence Andrew Smith (Vivian), grandchildren, Ginny Dilley, Brody Guckenberger, Sarah Higgins, Aaron and Joshua Teegarden, Travis, Troy and Adam Wills and 21 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Chambers & Grubbs Independence on Thursday, June 1, 2017. Visitation will be from 10 AM till 12 PM. The funeral service will be at 12 PM.
