Lena Dennis (Polly)
Lena Dennis, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the age of 69.

She was born in Jackson, KY on January 12, 1948; the daughter of Leland and Atha Polly. Lena enjoyed baking, shopping and camping. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Enoch John “E.J.” Polly.

Lena is survived by her loving siblings, Versie Bowling, Decoursey Polly, Ida Mackin, Etta Sue (Earl) Gabbard and Lenora Bellamy; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Lena will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will immediately follow at Wilmington Baptist Cemetery in Demossville, KY.

Memorials in Lena’s name may be expressed to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
