Hazle Esther McDannold Letcher, 75 of Independence, KY, passed away early Saturday, April 29, 2017. Hazle was a retired home health nurse for St. Elizabeth Hospitals. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, as well as the Eastern Star and she was a Kentucky Colonel. She enjoyed fishing and was a volunteer for the Boone County Library.

Hazle is preceded in death by a sister; Betty Jean Hallauer and a brother; Billy Gene McDannold. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Billy Ray Letcher, daughter; Beth Lynn Hickey (Kevin), son; Billy Ray Letcher II (Cathy), grandchildren; Connor, Alexis and Anna Hickey, Carly, Cara, Cayla and Billy Ray Letcher III.

Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 3711 Tibbatts St., Covington, KY on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM. Funeral services will begin at 7 PM. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11 AM.
