Obituary for Bettye Lou Tackett (Taliaferro)
Bettye Lou Tackett, of Walton, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the age of 72.
She was born in Covington, KY on January 30, 1945; the daughter of John and Edith Taliaferro. Bettye retired from Grant Manor as a Nursing Home Administrator and volunteered at 7 Hills Church, was a member of the Grant County Chambers of Commerce, and a member of the Kentucky Woodwinds. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her beloved family.
Bettye was preceded in death by her loving husband, Terrance Tackett Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Hope (Pete) Baker; sons, Kyle (Nikki) Tackett and Aaron Tackett; brother, Bob (Carolyn) Taliaferro; grandchildren, Samantha Stommel, Tyler Tackett, Brooke Tackett, Nash Baker, Abby Baker, McKenzie Tackett, Cole Tackett, Bailey Tackett and Kaden Baker; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Bettye will take place from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. A funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
