Charles Frank Coomer, age 80, of Covington, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Woodcrest Nursing Care Facility in Elsmere, KY. He was retired Heavy Equipment Operator for Eaton Asphalt, who enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, and car racing. His wife, Ruth Ann Simmons Coomer preceded him in death in 2013. He is survived by his sons, Bobby Coomer (Donna) and Ronnie Coomer (Sherri); sisters, Pauline Hamlin and Edna Sipple; grandchildren, Holly Crawford (Randy), Kyle Coomer, Travis Coomer, and Jordan Coomer; and great grandson, Owen Crawford. Visitation will be Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at 7 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence.
