Obituary for Dorothy Neglean Mullins (Combs)

Dorothy Neglean Combs Mullins, age 81 of Hebron, Kentucky, passed away peacefully and went on to be with the Lord on Friday, March 24, 2017 as she was surrounded by her devoted husband of almost 62 years, Grayson “Leon” Mullins and loving family. Dorothy was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts, flowers, the outdoors and most of all, sitting on the backyard swing with Leon. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tinny and Arthena Combs, step-father Carl Wilson, brothers, Neal Combs and Lester Wilson and granddaughter Taylor Marie Mullins. Dorothy is also survived by her children, Belinda McCarthy (Paul), David Mullins, Darrell Mullins, Mark Mullins (Tammy), a sister, Norma Jean Miller, grandchildren, Gregory McCarthy, Justin McCarthy (Stephanie), Michael McCarthy (Naomi), Jared McCarthy (Misty), Curtis, Derek, Megan and Brittany Mullins and Heather Askrin (Robert), as well as 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Road, Independence, KY 41051 on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Visitation will be from 10 AM till 12 PM with the funeral ceremony immediately following at 12 PM. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to: Community Family Church. Arrangements are being handled by Chambers & Grubbs Independence.
