Obituary for Walter T. Reed
Walter Thomas Reed, age 80, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, KY. He was a retired Towboat Captain for Western Kentucky Navigation and a U.S. Army Veteran. His brothers, John Reed and James Reed preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Smallwood Reed (54 years); children, Sharon Sewell, Sonny Windeler, Becky Setters, Katherine Windler, Barb Woodywiss, John Reed, Thomas Reed, Pam Overbay, Linda Miller, and Crystal Jackson; sisters, Elwanda Nelson and Ann Hughes; (28) grandchildren; and (32) great grandchildren.
A memorial service in Walter’s honor will be held at Lighthouse Ministries, 210 Poplar Street, Bellevue, KY 41073 on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 12 noon.
