Donnie Ray Owens, 58, of Morning View, passed away on January 14, 2017 at home. He was born to Homer and Carrie Owens on May 9, 1958. Donnie loved his family and friends deeply, and was a devoted grandfather. He will be remembered, and missed, by all those who held him in their hearts. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Owens; his children Allison Owens, Deanna Petroze (Joe) and Danny Skidmore (Kellie); grandchildren, Marie, Kalyann, Landon and Jewel; great-grandchildren, Brayson, Aralynn and Treysin; siblings, Ronnie, Bill, Conrad and Diane Sebastian of Texas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson Ryan and brother Roger. Services will be held at Chambers & Grubbs Independence on Thursday, January 19,2017. Visitation is from 12 pm till 2 pm with the funeral service immediately following at 2 pm. Burial will be in Hopeful Lutheran Church Cemetery.
