Charles “Charlie” Curtis Perry, age 69, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

He worked for Hennegan Printing Company as a truck driver and was a member of the Florence Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Charlie enjoyed playing the guitar, watching Bengals football and UK basketball, but most of all, spending time with his grandson. He was an artist with words and many described him as a “word smith.”

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Della (nee Maxwell) and his sister, Myrtle Richards.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jean “Jeannie”; daughter, Carla Perry; brother, James (Vinnie) Perry; and grandson, Isaiah Charles Perry.

A visitation for Charlie will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 6PM until 9PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 beginning at 10:30AM, also at the funeral home in Florence.

Interment will be at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery.
