Benjamin Douglas Holbrook, 37 of Morningview, KY, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his residence. Ben was employed at OKI Interiors as a carpenter. He was a member of the Carpenters’ Union, Local #2. He enjoyed working on and driving automobiles and motorcycles. Ben was passionate about his family and his daughter Emily was the center of his world. He was a generous and loving man. He was always willing to help others and couldn’t stand to see someone sad. Even when he had nothing else to give, he would share his sense of humor.

Ben is preceded in death by his grandfathers; Virgil Holbrook and Robert Elliott. He is survived by parents; Doug and Margie Holbrook, daughter; Emily Mae Holbrook, sister; Angel Fiszlewicz (Michael), girlfriend; Robin Meier, grandmothers; Elizabeth Holbrook and Lois Elliott and niece; Juno Elizabeth Fiszlewicz.

Services will take place at Chambers & Grubbs Independence on Thursday, December 15, 2016. A gathering of friends will take place from 6-8 PM with the memorial service at 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Emily Mae Holbrook Education Fund, C/O Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Homes.
