Merrilyn Frances Baker Gillum, of Erlanger, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the age of 86. She was born in Hyden, KY on January 27, 1930; the daughter of James and Laura Baker. Frances was a homemaker and loved to garden. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family and friends.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Laura Christy Jester and Pamela Trollinger; son, Ernie Sizemore; sisters, Gladys Howard, Jackylin Carpenter and Judy Carpenter; brothers, Bill Carpenter, Don Carpenter, Dwight Carpenter and Buddy Carpenter; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Independence Cemetery in Independence, KY at 1:00 PM.
