Terrance Kyle “Terry” Tackett, Sr., age 72, of Walton, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was a retired Sales Executive and a member of Seven Hills Church in Florence, KY. Terry loved sports of all types including following the local pro and college teams, playing golf, and target shooting. But most of all, he enjoyed coaching and following his children and grandchildren’s teams. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his wife (of almost 52 years) Bettye Lou Taliaferro Tackett. In addition to his wife Bettye, he is survived by his children, Terrance Kyle Tackett, Jr. (Nikki), Aaron Tackett, and Hope Baker (Pete); siblings, Cathy Durham (Bob) and Kevin Bassett; grandchildren, Samantha Stommel, Tyler Tackett, Brooke Tackett, Nash Baker, Abigail Baker, Mackenzie Tackett, Cole Tackett, Bailey Tackett, and Kaden Baker. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
