Scioto Gwendolyn Roark Lipscomb, 76, of Walton, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2015 peacefully at home. She was the owner and operator of Pon-De-Lon Court of Walton. Si earned degrees in both nursing and theology, was the past vice-president of Parents Without Partners, and was a founder of Lives in the Balance. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, shopping, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by daughter Kelley Ravard, brother Jarvis Roark, and sisters Georgia Adams and Juanita Roark. Survivors include her daughter Rhonda (Harold) Losey of Walton; son Stephen Stavrakis of Walton; sisters Louetta Geraci and Dorothy Chapman; grandchildren Billy Dee (Laura) Sullivan, Cary (Emily) Mahoney, Kristin (Cory) White, Nikki Losey, and April Losey; 15 Great-Grandchilden; and other many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Walton. She will be laid to rest at a later time.
