Robert Lee “Bobby” Vandiver, 59, of Taylor Mill passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Villaspring of Erlanger. He was a carman for Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father William J. Vandiver in 2009 and his granddaughter Kourtney Marie Vandiver in 2004. Survivors include his wife Mary Elizabeth Polly Vandiver; sons Robert Lee Vandiver, Jr. of Covington and Jason Bryant “Tater” Vandiver and his wife Sarah of Independence; mother Wilda Walker Vandiver of Erlanger; sister Donna Vandiver Merkle and her husband John Anthony “Tony” of Walton; brothers William D. “Bill” Vandiver and his wife Betty of North Richland Hills, TX, John D. “Dan” Vandiver and his wife Marcia of Fayetteville, OH, and David J. Vandiver of LaGrange, KY; grandson Tyler Lee Sizemore of Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at 11:30 AM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery.
